One of the last challenges we had in the company was to combine two needs:
- direct printing on Cylinders, that is, cylindrical objects of different sizes and weights
- Help clients increase the safety and well-being of their employees by reducing the loading and lifting of heavy objects and consequent risk of injury
Thanks to our R&D team, this automatic printing work island for the following cylinder formats was born:
📏 Lengths: 30 cm to 150 cm
📏 Diameters: 10 cm to 23 cm
📏 Max cylinder weight: 80kg

This specific configuration includes:
Automatic Canister Manipulator – Precisely rotates and positions cylinders for quick and safe loading.
Transfer “Sled” System – Automatically moves the cylinder under the print head with perfect alignment.
Eagle 130 UV LED retrofitted for this specific process – Industrial flatbed printer equipped with water-cooled UV lamps and high-resolution heads, optimised for direct printing on cylindrical cylinders
Printing area: 10×180° to 60×180°
Machine management from tablet and software WhiteRIP 8 dedicated
For those who find themselves handling heavy, cylindrical and non-cylindrical objects that are difficult to manipulate there is the possibility of customizing this work island with these different options:
- increase productivity by at least double with the Eagle 130R version that can have 2 to 8 Ricoh heads
- Integrate automated loading-unloading systems or robotic islands
- 4.0 integration with other machines and production lines before and/or after printing
- Have optical image control for greater quality control
